Sharing School Data

Sharing School Data

This year the CLP took a strategic view of data within its member schools and how it could help schools to work together to improve in certain areas.

Particular focus was given to the identification of strengths and weaknesses in end of foundation stage data, progress between end of key stage 1 and key stage 2 profiles for reading, writing (& combined) and separate spelling, punctuation and grammar.

The focus was on children who were on free school meals, have English as an additional language, boys & girls, and special needs.

As a result 3 separate bespoke School to School Support projects were introduced.

For 2013/14 the Nottingham CLP has created a robust delivery framework for S2S and has taken a leading role in providing additional capacity and structured assistance between school settings, whenever or wherever needed.

The first of a series of CLP School-to-school support activities began in February 2014 with the early years foundation stage (EYFS) moderation project.

The CLP then introduced a year 6 moderation project, followed quickly by a series of activities aimed at addressing boys writing engagement and attainment in years 3&4.

At total of 36 teachers have taken part in the 3 projects outlined above.

The CLP can only estimate at the number of children who will benefit from this additional learning but would put the figure somewhere in the 1000’s.
